Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Subjects with chronic periodontitis and with minimum 1 site with probing pocket depth of 5-7mm (moderate to deep pocket) 2)Subjects with Controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus (Diabetic control will be measured by glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) in blood samples) in well controlled diabetic patients, HbA1c levels should be 3)Subjects with minimum of 14 teeth present 4)Subject who has given written consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)Presence of overhanging restoration, 2)Smoking, 3)Pregnant women, & Lactating mother 4)Those who have received antibiotics or any form of periodontal treatment in the previous 3months.
