Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Paediatric patients ( <10 kg) with congenital heart diseases undergoing on pump cardiac surgery at Army Hospital R&R, for various indications will be included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients having any association with syndrome, patients with dysarhythmias, patient on preoperative inotropes will be excluded from the study.

| ICU measurements will include duration of ICU stay, incidence of Low cardiac output syndrome, postoperative ICU stay, Duration of mechanical ventilation, Incidence of arrhythmia, any thoracic epidural related adverse event, and renal replacement therapy given if any. Separated serum will be assayed for estimation of serum T3 and free thyroxine (T4) and thyrotropin releasing hormone (TSH) . Timepoint: Blood samples for T3,T4 and TSH will be collected preoperatively (T0), 24-hr (T1) and three (T2) days after surgery. ICU data will be collected till the patient is discharged from the ICU or dies whichever is earlier. | — |
