Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children in the age group 6-12 months with simple febrile seizures

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Atypical or complex febrile seizures, children diagnosed with anaemia which cannot be corrected with iron and folic acid

To find out whether prophylactic iron supplementation tomaintain normal iron status would reduce the recurrences of simple febrile seizure in children aged 6-12 months over 1 year follow upTimepoint: after treating iron deficiency and supplementing iron for one year the outcome is measured
