Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects attending the outpatient department of Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal, willing to participate, complaining of food impaction, with localized or generalized chronic periodontitis and having atleast one tooth with furcation involvement will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with systemic disease, aggressive periodontitis, gingivitis, malignant oral lesions, Edentulous, with fixed or removable prosthesis, mentally challenged, seriously ill, students and subjects not willing to participate.
