Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) ASA grade I/II posted for elective major abdominal surgeries under general anesthesia. 2) Age: 20 to 65 years. 3) Ability to comprehend and describe verbal or visual pain scale. 4) No history of drug dependence or unprescribed drug use.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Any contraindication to epidural block. 2) Allergy to opioids or any other drugs to be given intraoperatively. 3) All pregnant patients.
