Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Mesioocclusal dental caries Dimensions of caries that allow the preparation of contracted access cavity VAS score less than 4

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient having pain > 4 VAS Curved root canals > 25 degrees Calcified root canals Periapical lesion > 3mm Complex root canal anatomy Tooth with multiple wall defect Patients with systemic diseases Patients with facial deformities Patients with fixed orthodontic therapy Chronic peri- apical abscess with or without sinus

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome is post operative pain. Timepoint: Post-operative pain data will be recorded on VAS scale at 2,4,6,8,12,24,36 upto 72 hours through phone call to the patient

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcome will be the time taken for preparation of traditional access cavity and conventional access cavityTimepoint: immediate during the procedure
