Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients being operated under dept of ENT or Surgical Oncology for carcinoma of tongue during the study period

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients who have undergone radiotherapy or any other treatment for the same illness 2) Patients with previous history of any malignancy in upper aero-digestive tract 3) Patients with malignancy extending beyond oral tongue- buccal mucosa or mandible 4) Patients lost to follow up or develop recurrence during follow up period 5) Patients with pre-existing speech or swallowing disorders
