Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects of either gender in the age group of 18 to 80 years. Diagnosed with first episode stroke subjects. (Within 6 months). Subjects with National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score 5-25 with motor impairment. Subjects who exhibit preserved cognition according to the Mini Mental State Examination (score greater than 22) Subjects who can follow researcherâ??s verbal commands.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with BP more than 180/100 mmHg more than twice in 24 hours Subjects with unstable Angina, Myocardial Infarction or acute heart failures within past 1 month. Subjects with neurological conditions other than stroke present before or after their admission to ICU. Subjects with neuro-surgical intervention in the past 1 month. Non co operative subjects Pre existing postural and musculoskeletal deformities affecting lung volumes.
