Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients of ASA physical status I /II scheduled to undergo elective Laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgery under general anaesthesia requiring tracheal intubation will be included in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -ASA grade III or more -Patients with anticipated difficult airway, those requiring more than one attempt or more than 20 sec for laryngoscopy -BMI >30 kg m 2 -Known allergy to melatonin
