Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing laparoscopic ablative renal and adrenal surgery (nephrectomy or adrenalectomy)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) Patients where laparoscopy is not indicated, not feasible or declined by the patient will be excluded b) Patients where laparoscopy is not feasible c) Patients where laparoscopy is declined by the patient will be excluded

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome measures will be operative time and blood loss measured.Timepoint: Operative time will be defined as time from beginning of intra abdominal procedure to completion of procedure (excluding specimen retrieval and port closure). Blood loss will be defined as change in hematocrit between 24hr post surgery and baseline values.

Secondary end-points will be intraoperative complications, drain output and duration, hospital stay, and post-operative complications till discharge and readmission rateTimepoint: Within 30 days of operation
