Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 15 â?? 65 years 2. Both sexes 3. Newly diagnosed cases of hypothyroidism (serum TSH 4.70 µIU/ml or higher) 4. Literate patients; ability to read Bengali/English 5. Providing written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients already undergoing Levothyroxine sodium therapy for hypothyroidism [may be included if can be kept in a wash-out phase of 14 days] 2. TSH above 12 µIU/ml 3. Patients suffering from congenital hypothyroidism 4. Patients with psychiatric diseases 5. Pregnancy and lactation 6. Cases suffering from any other uncontrolled systemic illness or life-threatening infections or any vital organ failure 7. Cases already undergoing homeopathic treatment for any chronic diseases 8. Self-reported immune-compromised state 9. Substance abuse and/or dependence
