Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (aged between 18 & 65 y) of either sex and ASA PS I or II undergoing any surgery under general anaesthesia fasted for at least 6- 8 h will be recruited in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: I. Patientsâ?? refusal II. History of any previous neck surgery or trauma III. Pregnancy IV. American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status III- V V. History of peripheral arterial diseases/ atherosclerosis VI. BMI > 30kg/m2 VII. Any cardiac rhythm other than sinus VIII. Cardiomyopathy
