Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18 years to 65 years 2. ASA physical status 1â??3. 3. Patient posted for CSF diversion procedure 4. Follow up case of shunt surgery posted for revision shunt surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.ASA physical status of 4 or 5 2. Anatomical or functional abnormalities of the optic nerve 3. Refusal of consent 4. Vision loss due to optic atrophy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
correlation of optic nerve sheath diameter with intra cranial pressure.Timepoint: i) Before induction, ii) After induction iii) After intubation iv) After completion of shunt surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
detection of shunt malfunctionTimepoint: every 2 hourly after completion of surgery till 12 hours.
