Interventions

Intervention1: Early initiation of oxytocin after 6 hours: oxytocin will be initiated after 6 hours of cervical ripening with foley plus dinoprostone gel starting at 3mU/min upto a maximum of 42mU/min

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: singleton pregnancy with cephalic presentation gestational age >24 weeks bishop score intact membranes reactive non stress test

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: uterine scar antepartum haemorrhage intrauterine fetal anomaly or death cervicovaginal infection heart disease,seizure disorder, severe anaemia, uncontrolled diabetes parity >3
