Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the incidence of PONV between patients, undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia, who received peri-operative 5% dextrose intravenously and those receiving 0.9% salineTimepoint: within the first 24 hours postoperative period

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare intra-operative heart rate, systolic, diastolic and mean blood pressure between the groups. Timepoint: Intraoperative period; To compare requirement of post operative rescue antiemetic treatment. Timepoint: within the first 24 hours postoperative period; To compare the effect of dextrose infusion on patients having different Apfel score. Timepoint: within the first 24 hours post operative period; To record any other observationsTimepoint: Within first 24 post hours operative period
