Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (i) Age 18-60 years (ii) Patients diagnosed to have Gallbladder cancer (iii) No obstructive jaundice (iv) No surgical or endoscopic intervention

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (i) Use of antibiotics in the preceding 4 weeks (ii) Use of Proton pump inhibitors in the preceding 4 weeks (iii) Metastatic disease (iv) Serum bilirubin >2 mg/dl (v) Major comorbid illness (vi) Diabetes (vii) Smokers

MeasureTime frame
The microbiome between patients with Gallbladder cancer patients, Gallstone patients and healthy controls will be compared to find out significant differences between major bacterial groups. This will help is in the better understanding of the nature of GBC and gall stone disease which may help in future prevention and treatment of the same.Timepoint: After completing the study
