Intervention1: RASNA KASHAYA: Group A- Freshly prepared Rasna Kashaya (decoction) 40 ml twice a day for 15 days. Control Intervention1: ERANDAMOOL KASHAYA: Group B- Freshly prepared Erandamool Kashaya

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 16 yrs to 60 yrs belonging to either sex, male/ female. Patients with Pratyatmak lakshana (classical sign and symptoms) of Gridhrasi, both Vataj and Vata-Kaphaja types of Gridhrasi. Straight Leg Rising (SLR) Test being positive.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Congenital abnormalities in lumbar spine. Patients with history of fracture of vertebrae, disc prolapse, severe Lumbar canal stenosis, deformity of spine, infective disorder of spine. Patients with other systemic disorders like Diabetes, CA spine, Caries spine, Tuberculosis of spine. Surgical indication. Pregnancy

MeasureTime frame
Assessment will be done on the specially designed proforma or by assessing sign and symptoms in scoring pattern.Timepoint: Treatment period will be 15 days. Follow up assessment on Day 7, 15 of treatment period.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the tolerance of the drug.Timepoint: Treatment period will be 15 days. Tolerance will be assessed on follow up Day 7, 15 of treatment period.
