Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients above the age of 18 years and below 75 years requiring massive transfusion as per definition coming to department of emergency medicine, Kasturba Medical College,Manipal

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients receiving massive transfusions in other areas of the hospital (ICU, OTs, Obstetrics) 2. Pediatric massive transfusions. 3. Neonatal exchange transfusions. 4. Patients not willing to participate in the study

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1,Time duration of massive transfusion. 2,Cessation of bleeding. 3,Number of blood components utilized 4,Free of transfusion at the end of 24 hours. Timepoint: For individual subject : -At the stoppage of Massive transfusion protocol for that patient. -At discharge from hospital. For all subjects : -Cumulative assessment of data after recruitment of all study subjects.
