Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All new histopathologically confirmed primary buccal mucosa cancer cases 1.1. Buccal Mucosa Cancer cases definition (ICD-O-3):- • Cheek mucosa (C06.0) • Retromolar areas (C06.2) • Buccoalveolar sulci, upper and lower (vestibule of mouth) (C06.1) 2. Date of diagnosis less than 6 months from the date of enrolment 3. Age between 20-65 years 4. Resident of India for at least one year

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant women.

1. Conduct a large-scale multicentre genome-wide association (GWA) study to investigate the role of genetic susceptibility in Buccal Mucosa Cancer. 2. To study the interaction of genetic susceptibility with lifestyle factors. 3. To explore the role of smoking behavior and/or tobacco chewing and nicotine dependent genetic loci in Indian origin population.Timepoint: 2 years—
