Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)physical status ASA 1-2 2)surgery in supine position under general anaesthesia lasting for up to two hours

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)history of prior sore throat 2)patients using steroids or NSAIDS 3)patient with COPD, Asthma 4)mallampati grade >2 5)patients with >2 attempts of intubation 6)pregnant women 7)patient and/or his/her acceptable representative not willing to provide their voluntary written informed consent for participation in the study
