Inclusion criteria: ASA I OR II Patients scheduled for VATS
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal Known allergy to local anesthetics Bleeding diathesis Patients suffering from chronic pain Inability to operate PCA pump

| VAS score for pain and total analgesic requirementTimepoint: VAS (visual analogue scale) score at rest and during movement is assessed at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24 hours after surgery. All patients are given PCA morphine pump after ensuring a VAS of less than 4 with the use of morphine 3mg iv bolus. PCA will be provided with 1 mg morphine bolus with a lock out time of 10 minutes,allowing a maximum dose of 20mg in 4 hours.The time taken for the first use of PCA is noted. PCA morphine consumption is assessed at the end of 6 12 and 24 hours. | — |
