Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All Post-Operative Spontaneous Breathing Patients who have undergone an abdominal surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with Past or present cardiopulmonary disorder affecting chest or any neurological illness. Patients who require long term mechanical ventilation. Patients who are receiving sedation or are paralyzed. Any individual with active medical management for chest or neurological illness. Patients with chest wall deformities. Patients with cardiothoracic surgeries.

| Comparing the respiratory muscle strength of patients who have undergone surgery post the deep breathing exercises versus incentive spirometry. Assessing the respiratory status of the patients with the help of the following parameters: Forced vital Capacity (FVC), Forced Expiratory Volume in one second (FEV1) and Oxygen Saturation. Comparing the effect of incentive spirometer versus deep breathing on chest expansion at 3 levels --- angle of Louis, nipple level & xiphisternum level.Timepoint: Outcome will be assessed 15 mins after the intervention. | — |
