Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. SUBJECTS COMPLAINING OF DIFFICULTY IN FALLING ASLEEP, MAINTAINING SLEEP, OR NON REFRESHING SLEEP 2. SLEEP DISTURBANCE OCCURRING AT LEAST THREE TIMES PER WEEK FOR AT LEAST ONE MONTH. 3. SLEEP DISTURBANCE WHICH RESULTS IN MARKED PERSONAL STRESS OR INTERFERENCE WITH PERSONAL FUNCTIONING IN DAILY LIVING. 4. ABSENCE OF ANY KNOWN CAUSATIVE ORGANIC FACTORS, SUCH AS NEUROLOGICAL OR OTHER MEDICAL CONDITION, PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER OR A MEDICATION.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.INSOMNIA DUE TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE/TRAUMA 2.SUBJECTS WITH HYPERTENSION, DIABETES MELLITUS, AIDS ETC. 3.PHYSIOLOGICAL CONDITIONS LIKE PREGNANCY LACTATION AND PUERPERAL STAGE. 4. SUBJECTS WITH MILK ALLERGY.

WHETHER JATIPATRI KSHEERAPAKA IS EFFECTIVE IN MANAGING PRIMARY INSOMNIATimepoint: The outcome will be assessed on 15th day, 30th day and 45th day of treatment with Insomnia Severity Index.

WHETHER JATIPATRI KSHEERAPAKA IS EFFECTIVE IN MANAGING ASSOCIATED SOMATIC SYMPTOMS OF PRIMARY INSOMNIATimepoint: Associated changes are also observed on 15th, 30th and 45th day of treatment.
