Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children (3-15 years of age) presenting with either unexplained fever and/or cough for >=2 weeks, with or without weight loss (5%in 3 months) or no weight gain in past three months, or presenting with symptoms suggestive of extra-pulmonary TB will be enrolled for the proposed study after obtaining the written consent of parents and child as well.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age below 3 years and above 15 years and patients unwilling to give consent for the present study.

The results obtained in this study will enhance our knowledge about paediatric TB in this region and will be useful in future for formulating newer strategies for tuberculosis control by using appropriate technology and strategy for better access.Timepoint: 1 year
