Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) Any other retinal pathology b) Pre-operative glaucoma or any optic neuropathy c) Dense cataract (Nuclear sclerosis > Grade 2) d) Previous ocular surgery (keratoplasty, refractive surgery, posterior segment surgery) e) Squint & amblyopia

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate the pre-operative microperimetric indices (fixation stability, macular integrity index, average threshold values) of the eye with macular hole with the post-operative visual acuity of the same eye at 1 month, 3 months and 6 months and to find out which one of the parameters is the most sensitive inpredicting visual outcomes at 1, 3 and 6 months follow up. Timepoint: six months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Whether pre-operative macular hole size on OCT, duration of macular hole has any correlation with post-operative microperimetric findings, which can help to predict post-operative functional outcomes (BCVA) of macular hole surgery Timepoint: Six months
