Inclusion criteria: Patients admitted to medical and cardiac intensive care units

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Newly diagnosed DM (all types) 2)T2 DM on OHA / Insulin therapy 3)IV fluid DNS taken at outside hospital within last 12 hours 4)RBC disorders 5)Patients on steroids
