Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anaesthesiologist(ASA) physical status I Mallampatti grade I and II Scheduled for elective surgery with laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Anticipated difficult airway, 2. Intubation time exceeding 15 seconds, 3. More than one attempt of intubation, 4. History of hepatic, renal, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrinal and neurological disorders, •Pregnant or lactating women, •Patient on drugs like alpha blocker, beta blocker, calcium channel blocker,etc.
