Health Condition 1: null- patients suffering from gall bladder stones and posted for cholecystectomy

Interventions

Intervention1: subcostal Transversus abdominus plane block (subcostal TAP block): At the end of open cholecystectomy, right sided subcostal TAP block will be given using Bupivacaine 0.25% Intervention

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA I and II patients 2. Patients with body mass index between 18-30 kg/m2 3. Patient posted for open cholecystectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients with known coagulopathy /thrombocytopenia 2. Localised infection at the proposed site of injection 3. Inability to comprehend the scoring systems to be employed 4. Known allergy to the drugs to be used 5. Opioid tolerance /dependence 6. Renal/hepatic impairment 7. Known cardio respiratory impairment or any neurological disorder
