Interventions

Intervention1: Sahacharadi Kashaya, Murchita taila, Prasarini taila: Sahacharadi Kashaya â?? 15ml thrice a day with Murchita taila 10ml, Orally after food for 7 days, Matra basti with Prasarini taila

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Gridhrasi with the symptoms of sciatica. 2.Positive straight leg raising (SLR) test (30 to 70 degree). 3.Patients fit for basti karma. 4.Patients aged between 20-70 years. 5.Patients of either gender irrespective of caste, creed and religion. 6.Patients who are willing to participate and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of major trauma causing spondylolisthesis,fractures of spine, pelvis and femur 2.Surgical indications with progressive neurological deficit 3.History of carcinoma, tuberculosis, spondyloarthopathy, infective conditions 4.History spinal surgery 5.Diabetes mellitus, essential hypertension, hypothyroidism

1.Signs and symptoms of gridhrasi(sciatica) (Assessment of following parameters will be recorded before, after the administration of the medicine for 7 days and on 8th day. 2.Visual analogue scale for radiating pain 3.Gait, straight leg raising (SLR) test (goniometry), Lassegues sign, Schobers test, walking time and distance Timepoint: clinical signs and symptoms will be assessed before treatment and after treatment on 7th day and on 8th day.	—
