Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Neonates eligible for selection will be more than 1 kg but less than 2 kg at discharge

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: congenital anomalies, any operative procedure during NICU stay

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess whether constant use of BEMPU improve the duration of KMC at home by at least one hour/day as compared to a control group.Timepoint: Outcome assessed at the end of one month of intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare improvement of weight, and occurrence of any morbidity in both groups and incidence of hypothermia by total number of orange beeps per day in BEMPU groupTimepoint: 1 month
