Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the effect of combined piezocision and low-level laser therapy in orthodontic treatment duration.Timepoint: 5 maxillary impressions will be made for each patient. On the models, the mesiobuccal cusp tip of first molar and the cusp tip of canine will be the reference points. 1. T0 (after completion of alignment and leveling: day 1 of canine retraction), 2. T1 (at the end of 1 month of canine retraction), 3. T2 (at the end of 2 months of canine retraction), 4. T3 (at the end of 3 months of canine retraction) and 5. T4 (on completion of canine retraction) | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To study the analgesic effect of low-level laser therapy following piezocision. Timepoint: Each patientâ??s response after initiation of canine retraction will be ranked according to a visual pain scale, rating from 1 to 10 on both sides, on day 1 (immediately after placement), day 3, and day 30. | — |
