Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: : All babies whose parents are willing to participate in the study will be considered for inclusion in this study. All Newborn with birth weight between 1500gm to 2499gm. Hemodynamically stable

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Newborn critically ill requiring ventilatory or inotropic support. 2. babies with chromosomal(downâ??s syndrome, Edwards syndrome, Patau syndrome etc.) and life threatening congenital anomalies. 3. whose mothers are critically ill, or unable to comply.

1.Measurements of growth by average daily weight gain. 2.Average daily hours of KMC in both group and total hospital stay in both groups.Timepoint: Average daily weght gain is 26 grams Average daily hours of kmc 3 hours
