Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Singleton pregnancy Period of gestation more than 37 complete d weeks

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Vertical skin incision Premature rupture of membranes Chorioamniotis Intauterine fetal death Utu within 2 weeks before CS Frank sepsis BMI more than 35 Emergency CS requiring urgent fetal delivery Situations where antibiotic could not be given at least 30 min before skin incision Diabetes mellitus on insulin Local skin infection at site of incision General anesthesia Use of systemic steroids during pregnancy for 2 weeks or greater Any chronic medical illness Frank sepsis
