Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients undergoing neurosurgry at Tata Memorial Hospital , over a period of study duration ( 1 year ) will be enrolled in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal to study. 2. Patients with chronic Venous thromboembolism.

MeasureTime frame
Incidence of VTE in cancer patients undergoing neurosurgery.Timepoint: one month of surgery

MeasureTime frame
1. Time blocks (pre-op, immediate post op,)period when maximum patients developed VTE. 2. Optimal frequency and duration forsurveillance ultrasonography in cancer patients undergoing neurosurgery. 3. Association between high risk factors and occurrence of VTE. Timepoint: one month of surgery
