Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Clinician diagnosed subjects with histopathologically confirmed HNC of both the genders aged above 18years undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects terminally/critically ill with cancer or other co-morbidities, post-surgery patients and pregnant women.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome expected is deceleration of weight loss trajectory and improvement in nutritional status and quality of life in the nutrition intervention group as compared to the control group which receives nutrition counseling alone.Timepoint: Day 0, Day 15, Day 30, Day 49

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcomes expected are improvement in the antioxidant status (serum) and reduction in the inflammatory markers (CRP).Timepoint: Day 0, Day 15, Day 30, Day 49
