Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Present of Knee Pain 2. Osteophytic Changes in X-Ray 3. And any one of the following three i. Age 50 years and above ii. Crepitus iii. Morning stiffness less than or equal to 30 minutes 4. Pre-randomization Visual Analog Scale score between 4 and 9

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, recurrent or active pseudo­gout, other inflammatory conditions rather than degenerative changes in the knee joint 2. Asthma requiring steroids 3. Taking oral steroids within the last four weeks 4. Intra-­articular knee depo-­corticosteroids within the previous 3 months 5. Intra­articular hyaluronate within the previous 6 months 6. Arthroscopy of the knee within the previous year 7. Significant injury to the knee within the previous 6 months 8. Rash or open wound over the knee 9. Subjects not willing to participate in the study
