Interventions

Intervention1: Ridge split technique: Crestal incision would be given and a full-thickness mucoperiosteal flap will be elevated on the buccal aspect of the ridge and a using micromotor, coticotomies

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Partially edentulous posterior mandible ( premolar to molar area) if single tooth especially molar with class I ridge defects(hvc classification) â?? class â?? I ridge defect -(bucco-lingual loss of tissue with normal ridge height) with subclassification of mild 2. Edentulous areas with lekholm and zarb classification of quality 2 and 3 (quality 2- thick layer of compact bone surrounding course of dense trabecular bone ,quality 3- thin layer of cortical bone surrounding dense trabecular bone with favourable strength )will be included in the study 3. Systemically healthy 4. Good oral hygiene

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Any previous surgery done at the recipient site 2. Bone defects due to tumor resection 3. Pathologic lesions prior to operation 4. Smoking 5. History of radiotherapy in the head and neck region
