Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Acute ST Elevation myocardial infarction patients who undergo primary PCI

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Death in the first 48 hr following contrast exposure. Treated with coronary bypass surgery (i.e. not suitable for PCI). Known CKD patients on dialysis.

acute renal failure requiring emergency renal replacement therapy (hemofiltration or hemodialysis), major bleeding requiring blood transfusion, acute pulmonary edema, stroke, duration of hospital stay.Timepoint: 5- 10 days depending on duration of hospital stay
