Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Male or female subjects aged18 years and olderwithout a history of hypertension 2. Office systolic blood pressure between 100 and 180 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure between 60 and 110 mmHg

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who are unable or unwilling to take self-measurements of blood pressure at home 2. Patients who do not sign informed consent 3. Office Blood pressure higher than 180 and 110 mmHg for systolic and diastolic blood pressure, respectively 4. Patients with secondary Hypertension 5. Patients already on Anti-hypertensive medication

To compare office blood pressure measurement with self-blood pressure measurement at home.Timepoint: At Day 0 and Day 7

Determine the prevalence of Elevated Heart rate in Indian PopulationTimepoint: 1 week;Determine which type of office blood pressure measurement (conventional or with automated oscillometric device) leads to best agreement with self-blood pressure measurement (least cases of WCH and MH) For self-measurement determine morning and evening blood pressure differenceTimepoint: 1 week;Verify morning and evening self-blood pressure differencesTimepoint: 1 week
