Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients having spinal cord pathology with voiding difficulty The presence of hypertonicity of external urethral sphincter with detrusor contractions on urodynamic assessment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The presence of bladder neck obstruction Severe hypertrophy of prostate glands on physical examination Laboratory-confirmed coagulation abnormalities Inflammation or infection of the perineal area A previous history of pelvic surgery, history of prolapsed, impending prolapse Non cooperative patients Patients hypersensitive to phenol Patients responding to oral medication

In our study group males were predominant sufferers All of the Neurological Level of Injury were at the thoracic level Improvement of all parameters were quite immediate and sustained upto 3 months Statistically significant improvement in FIM score was seen after pudendal nerve block and sustained throughout the study period with a p value less than 0.001. All the patient became independent in bladder management. Timepoint: 0 weeks, 3 months
