Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Fulfilling the following diagnostic criteria for the last 3 months with symptom onset atleast 6 months prior to diagnosis: One or more of the following: a. Bothersome postprandial fullness b. Early satiation c. Epigastric pain d. Epigastric burning 2. Patients symptomatic for at least 1 month with moderate-to-severe symptoms (score >= 4on the 7-point Global Overall Symptoms [GOS] scale)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant or lactating women 2. Known patients with unintentional weight loss, recurrent vomiting, dysphagia, hematemesis, melena, fever, jaundice, or anemia. 3. Known history of any serious gastrointestinal disease; or gastrointestinal surgery within 30 days. 4. History of angina pectoris. 5. On allopathic drugs, other than for hypertension or diabetes mellitus. 6. Other ongoing treatment which is likely to interfere with the course of this treatment.

To observe the change in Global Overall Symptom (GOS) score and Severity of Dyspepsia Assessment (SODA) score at the end of 8 weeks of treatment.Timepoint: Baseline, 8 weeks

MeasureTime frame
To observe the change in Quality of Life (WHO-QoL) at the end of 8 weeks of treatment.Timepoint: Baseline, 8 weeks
