Health Condition 1: null- chronic periodontitis patients with periodontal pocket depth more than 5mm

Interventions

Intervention1: scaling and root planing: scaling and root planing will be done only once at baseline,ie.1st day. sclerostin level in gingival crevicular fluid will be checked at baseline and 90th day.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria 1. Patient diagnosed with chronic periodontitis and good systemic health 2. Untreated chronic periodontitis 3. Patients with minimum of 20 number of teeth excluding third molar, with pocket depth more than or equal to 5mm 4. Patients ranging from 35-55 years of age 5. Patients willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria 1.Patients with systemic diseases (e.g., diabetes mellitus; cancer; human immunodeficiency virus; bone-related diseases that compromise sclerostin, OPG, or RANKL levels: osteoporosis; and collagen-metabolic diseases or disorders) 2. Pregnant and lactating women. 3. Smoking within the past 5 years. 4. Patients not willing for surgery
