Intervention1: Transcricoid block: Transcricoid block is a block of recurrent laryngeal nerve.This procedure is done at the level of cricothyroid membrane using a 22 or a 20G needle and a 10mL syringe

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adults ( >18 years) undergoing cryo TBLB and rigid bronchoscopy 2. ASA 1,2 3. Patients requiring general anesthesia 4.Providing written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known documented hypersensitivity to lignocaine 1.Pregnancy 2.Hypoxemia (oxygen saturation = 0.3) 3.Bronchoscopy done through endotracheal or tracheostomy tube 4.Midline neck mass or thyroid enlargement making the identification of cricothyroid membrane difficult 5.Patients with central airway obstruction 6.Patients with active ongoing hemoptysis 7.Obese patients (BMI >30) 8.Other contraindications to drugs being used 9.Patients with pacemaker

1. Comparison of introperative hemodynamic response to rigid bronchoscopy under general anaesthesia in transcricoid group and control groupTimepoint: B.P will be measured every minute for first 10 minutes and then every 5 mins till end of procedure

Post procedural cough,sorethroat and hoarsenessTimepoint: 1hr,8hrs and 24 hours following procedure of rigid bronchoscopy
