Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Tissue blocks from women with non-metastatic, triple negative breast cancer, who are eligible for neoadjuvant chemotherapy and have received NACT under the ongoing randomized trial at TMC (CTRI/2012/07/002802), will be included in the study. TNBC with available paired paraffin samples (pre-NACT and post-surgery) will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Metastatic Breast Cancer patient Non TNBC

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To identify biomarkers to predict chemoresistance in tumors of TNBC patients receiving NACT with anthracyclines and taxanes with or without platinum chemotherapyTimepoint: After completion of Neo Adjuvant Chemotherapy receiving NACT with anthracyclines and taxanes with or without platinum chemotherapy

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Identify specific targetable pathways in women who have not achieved pCR Estimate the residual cancer burden (RCB) in these tumors by evaluating the post-NACT surgical specimen using standard technique Timepoint: After completion of Neo Adjuvant Chemotherapy
