Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing bariatric surgery who give a valid consent will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who cannot undergo bariatric surgery due to anatomical considerations. 2. Age 60 years 3. Patients with decompensated chronic liver disease. 4. Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. 5. Patients with Chronic Liver Disease due to other known causes (non-NAFLD related). 6. Patients with chronic hepatitis B or chronic hepatitis C or HIV. 7. Patients who do not give a valid consent.
