Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Written Informed consent for participation in the study 2.No symptom of Influenza like illness (fever >= 38â?° C and cough in last 10 days) at the time of enrollment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.People with symptoms of Influenza like illness/ fever in last 10 days which include An acute respiratory infection with Fever > 38°C AND Cough 2. Pregnant women and lactating mother 3.Individuals taking any other preventive medicines for Influenza like illness 4. Patients with malignancy,immuno-compromised state, life threatening diseases, end stage diseases.

â?¢ To assess and compare the changes in patient reported severity of symptoms of ILI using ILI symptom score on daily basis till 10th day of each episode of ILI â?¢ To assess and compare Changes in incidence of influenza like illness assessed through active surveillance on weekly basis till 3 months. Timepoint: Every 7th day from the start of study till outbreak continues.
