Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Participants who report to the department of orthodontics for correction of mal-alignment. 2.Participants with age 15-30 years and give a written consent to participate in this study. 3.Participants who are indicated for extraction of premolars bilaterally in at least one arch for orthodontic correction.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Participants who have systemic disorders and/or who are under medications which will affect their oral health. 2.Participants who are indicated for orthodontic correction without extraction of teeth. 3.Participants who have, or have developed any acute dental problems during the study period which require emergency care.
