Atleast one interproximal probing depth (IPD) >=5 mm, 4 weeks after Phase I therapy. 4. Presence of 2 or 3 walled intrabony defect (IBD) >=3 mm which was measured as the distance from the interproximal alveolar crest to the base of the defect on an intraoral periapical radiograph with a 1 mm grid.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects diagnosed with Aggressive Periodontitis. 2. Subjects having unacceptable oral hygiene [Plaque index51 (PI) and Modified gingival index52 (MGI) >1] after re-evaluation of Phase I therapy. 3. Presence of pulpal or periapical involvement on qualifying teeth. 4. Endodontically treated teeth or any tooth with endo perio lesion. 5. Poor, questionable or hopeless prognosis of qualifying teeth. 6. Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To biochemically evaluate and compare the release profile of platelet derived growth factor BB (PDGF-BB) in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) collected from intrabony defects treated with platelet rich fibrin (PRF) and collagen membrane (CM) containing recombinant human Platelet derived growth factor-BB (rhPDGF-BB).Timepoint: Day 3, Day 7, Day 14, Day 30

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To biochemically evaluate and compare alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels in GCF collected on days 3 and 30 from intrabony defect sites treated with PRF membrane and CM containing rhPDGF-BB. To clinically evaluate and compare wound healing on days 7 and 14 at sites treated with PRF membrane and CM containing rhPDGF-BB. Timepoint: 3rd and 30th day 7th and 14th day
