Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective unilateral open inguinal hernia repair 2. Aged between 18 and 60 years of age 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) class 1 and 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Allergy to local anaesthetic 2. BMI >35kg/m2 3. Chronic abuse of analgesic medications 4. Bleeding disorder, pregnancy and infection near the procedure area
