Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Smokers who consent to participate. Smokers who are currently and previously not on any form of tobacco cessation therapy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects less than 18 years of age Pregnancy Uncontrolled Ischemic heart diseases Unstable diabetes mellitus Unstable epilepsy Individuals having pacemaker Lack of skin sensation near the acupuncture points Undiagnosed fever or severe skin lesions Infection at and around the acupuncture points Subjects on Psychiatric medication Subjects on steroids Subjects who are users of smokeless tobacco Patients unable to comply on appointment schedule.

1.Nicotine dependence for each subject as assessed at baseline and one month after intervention with the help of questionnaire (Continuous scale â?? Mean Fagerstorm test score for for smokers) 2.The physical experiences related to smoking (VAS scale mean VAS score) before and after one month after intervention Timepoint: before start of intervention and one month after intervention
